Learn To Stain a Deck

How to start the staining deck?

Start by removing the furniture or other materials from the deck. Examine the wood of the deck and repair all the flaws that are there in decking wood. Replace all the missing nails and remove all the debris and dirt that is there on decking wood. Clean all the dirt or mildew before you start finishing wood so that staining doesn't affect or trap flaws in the wood. Wash with water or use a cloth to clean the deck and scrub the entire surface using scrub brushes to clean the surface. Rinse the area and wait for two days to get it dry before you apply the stain.  

You can start by applying a coat of stain evenly using a paintbrush. Apply stain on all the cracks and other areas. Wait for the stain to dry and apply another coat on the deck. Clean the paint tray and brushes and ensure to not place anything on deck before letting it dry for 24 hours.
